People with type 2 diabetes often have more severe degree of inflammation, which increases the risk of cardiovascular disease.

In this study, participants were randomly arranged and performed diets low carb or low fat. They also studied the effects of this diet on inflammation level with the help of a heart specialist, who examined the degree of inflammation in the blood. Interestingly, both of these diets have similar effects on weight loss: whether the patient performs a low-fat diet or low carb, they showed weight loss at the end of the study ( decreased 4 kg).

Diet for people with diabetes each caused a lot of controversy with the idea that low carb diet does not bring any benefit to people with diabetes.

But recently, the American Diabetes Association has considered carb diets are viable options for patients with diabetes.
